Q: What is fused glass?

A: Fused glass is glass that has been heat-processed (fired) in a kiln at a range of high temperatures from 1,099 °F to 1,501 °F. There are 3 main distinctions for temperature application and the resulting effect on the glass- tack fuse, full fuse, and slumping.

Q: What is the process of creating your art?

A: Very simply- I cut, stack, fire. I measure the glass I am going to use as the background and set aside. I trace out shapes, cut excess off, and grind the shapes to smooth the edges. I stack the shapes onto the background glass and fire in the kiln.  Anything else is trade secret!

Q: Where do you get your glass?

A: I prefer to purchase my glass from Bullseye Glass Company. They are a American-made company based out of Seattle, Washington. They are huge promoters of artist in the community, offering quality glass, online videos, and great community forums which help small business people like myself.

Q: Where can I purchase your art?

A: My art is available on my home page, at the weekly farmer's markets in Moncks Corner, and special events. Check the calendar for specific dates, times, and location of the market.
